My 9 year old son is turning 10 this Saturday. I had plans for a fun party for him this weekend. I just got a call from his school saying he's been suspended for three days due to bad behavior. This has been an on-going problem and they have exhausted all efforts with the behavior plan he has in place at school. Also, he just got off a one week restriction where he wasn't allowed any tv or video games. Now he's gonna be suspended most of this week and I'm still supposed to give him this fun party with presents this weekend? I think it should just be scaled down to a cupcake and one or two presents that he has to "earn" the right to have. Is this too harsh?
