Hello,I want to know the value of a 1956 us proof set, plus the factors on which this value depends on. I searched a lot but I am unable to find any good answer. Would someone please help me with it? Please provide complete details, but in understandable language as I find it hard to understand complex economics terms. Thanks,

The proof set value is between $50 and $70 US. The value of the US proof set is dependent on many conditions and of course they all are economics related, so without knowing those terms you cannot understand the phenomenon. The prices of US Proof sets are analyzed to determine which set’s prices are high or low when compared to the group as a whole and so this goes one. The buying and selling of Proof sets is almost like many other financial markets, whereby the target is price equilibrium, but the main problem is that this price equilibrium is a moving target. On the other hand there are new buyers and seller added to the market constantly, due to which some sets appear to be very high while others remain very low. The high sets are said to be over priced while the lowest ones are under priced. Over all it is very complex phenomenon whereby economy as a whole along with socio political factors play a vital role in determining the value of sets!
