"I know how hard this is, and I want you to know that I love you and am thankful that you are there for Grandma the way you have been." In this sentence, is it okay to say "are" and then "have been"? Do they agree? I don't' want to change the "are" to "have been," because the help is still continuing. Thanks in advance!!

    Or maybe it should be:

"I know how hard this is, and I want you to know that I love you and am thankful that you have been there for Grandma the way you have."
