Location: Southern tip of Florida on the Atlantic coast. Absolute location is: 25°47'16?N 80°13'27?W? / ?25.787676, -80.224145.

Place: Miami is an urban city of the southeastern United States. It has a population of 5.5 million in it's metro area (the 4th largest in the U.S.). It is the county seat of Dade County, Florida.

Human/Environment Interactions: Miami is called a "world city" because of it's cultural diversification. It is also called "the gateway to America" for Latin American countries.

Movement: Miami is a popular tourist attraction and has grown rapidly during the last century. Hispanic immigration is one of the main reasons. Suburbs ( add suburbs) have been created along Miami's north shore.

Regions: Miami is in the southeast U.S. but has it's own distinct region. The city has a heavy Hispanic population. The largest ethnic group is Cuban

    hope it helps
