The symptoms of ADHD is divided into those of hyperactivity and impulsivity. In order to get diagnosed with ADHD, the children should have at least 6 attention symptoms or almost 6 activity and other impulsivity symptoms. These symptoms should be present for about 6 months, it is observable in about 2 or more settings, and they are not caused by the other problem. These symptoms should be severe in order to cause difficulties. Some of these symptoms should be present before the age of 7. Most of the older children have ADHD in some sort of partial remission; they sometimes fail to meet the full definition of the disorder but still have the symptoms.

There are two main types of ADHD which are primary and Inattentive, some of them have Hyperactive Impulsive type while some have combined type. Some of the Inattentive types are less disruptive.

    Other Inattention symptoms are:

When you fail to give to give proper attention to the details or make careless mistakes.

Difficulty in concentration in a particular task.

Normally they are not able to listen properly when a person is saying something.

They do not follow the instructions and often fail to finish schoolwork, chores or duties in their workplace.

Organizing tasks and activities becomes difficult for them.

They also try to avoid task that require mental effort.

    They easily get distracted.
