they're usually under the faucet. i have tried many things to get rid of them but they never go away. they only come once in a  while. they are never in the shower, toilet or kitchen sink. only in the bathroom sink. i don't know what they are and i want to know if they could be harmful to my health.

I'm guessing that you did not have soap in the dish. Can't imagine any bug/worm/insect sitting in soapy water. Just doesn't happen.
Get rid of the soap dish and find one that drains the water from the dish or if you can't do that keep some Irish Spring Soap in the dish.
Could have been some bugs attracted to your light source and they might have landed in the water and reproduced.
