I have a question regarding the young boy involved in the webcasting story for having sexual encounter with another man. I was very shocked to hear that he committed suicide and I cannot understand why what was the reason that he committed suicide in first place. I would appreciate if anyone can come up with an answer to this question.

If we look at the background of the story of Tyler Clementi, he was an eighteen-year-old student at Rutgers University in Piscataway Township, New Jersey. He ended up his life in an unfortunate and rather s sorrowful manner as he jumped to his death from the George Washington Bridge on September 22, 2010. This incident is believed to have occurred after his sexual encounter with a man in his dorm room was video webcasted without Clementi's knowledge, by his roommate Dharun Ravi and a fellow hall mate Molly Wei, and after a second attempt was made by Ravi to record Clementi's sexual encounters. Ravi and Wei were charged with invasion of privacy and as a result they both are still facing many questions. Clementi had complained to his resident assistant and two other officials that his roommate had spied on his private life and webcasted it using a webcam. On the Just Us Boys message board and Yahoo message board, he wrote in detail about complaints he filed through university channels about his roommate. Clementi wrote in a post about 15 hours before his jump from the George Washington Bridge, that he also reported the incident to two unnamed "higher-ups”.
