What is Arthritis and how it effect human body?

I want to know about Arthritis, can you tell me what kind of disease is this, does it pose a risk to the life of a person, what are the factors that contribute to this disease. Is it related to the problems with joints?

    Arthritis is a disease that is the result of inflammation of one or more joints, which result in pain, swelling, stiffness and also limited movement. There are many different types of arthritis, and the known types so far are 100.

    Arthritis is the result of breakdown of cartilage. The function of cartilage is to protect the joint which allows for the smooth movement. The cartilage also absorbs shock when the pressure is placed on the joint when you walk. Without the usual amount of the cartilage, the bones rub together that cause pain, swelling and stiffness. The reason of inflammatory joint is:

    The autoimmune disease that attacks the body because of the malfunctioning of immune system . Another reason of joint inflammation can be broken bone. General wear and tear on these joints can also result in the joint inflammation. Infections which are caused by viruses such as bacteria . One of the most common type of arthritis is chronic arthritis. Osteoarthritis is a type which is most likely to occur in a person. You might feel pain on any of your joints, but the most common one is the pain in your hips, knees or fingers. Risk factors for osteoarthritis are:

    Being overweight

    Previously injuring the affected joint.

    Using the affected joint in a more repetitive action that puts stress on the joints.
