What is a ergonomic chair?

I am having a pain problem in spine for a month now and I do not understand the reason of it. I asked a friend about this and he suggested me to have a ergonomic chair for my office. I do not know about ergonomic chair at all. I want to know some details about this ergonomic chair. Do you know anything about this ergonomic chair? Can someone here tell me that what is an ergonomic chair? I would really appreciate the favor. Thanks in advance for the help.
