   First thing firs if you are a real IT professional, never come to dubai. HAving said that an average salary for IT professional is very S****y and starts at 9k for someone with at least two years of exp. it goes up to about 25 if you have lots of experience and you can kiss a*s for living. these days you can earn more than that in IT in any country. Also cost of living is very very high even though half of the country left.

   Average salary for IT professional in Dubai varys depending on what you do and the experience you have. For example i have a friend who is a system Admin at Du one of the local net provider who is getting paid around 12000 USD per month. I know someone else who is a web developer with 5 years experience and is getting paid around 6k USD.  As for kissing a*s; in some cases it might be true but sucking up to your boss is one way to get promotion anywhere in the world (for not so intelligent people).

   
   

   To find a good job in dubai you must look for it before you come here, now that real estate market is not what it used to be; lot more people are investing in other sectors including technology.
