I have heard about Acne, I have some moles on my face, what is the difference between Acne and pimples. What do they look like? What is the specific kind of treatment that is available for Acne?

    Acne is a condition of skin that is the result of whiteheads, blackheads, the inflamed red lesions like papules, pustules also result in the formation of Acne. These commonly growth formations are known as pimples or zits. Acne is also known as Acne Vulgaris and Cystic Acne in medical terms. Acne is usually starts to appear in the mid 30’s of age period of a person and then it lasts into the middle age. There are many factors which contribute to Acne and its growth, the treatment for this acne varies according to its severity. The treatment of Acne takes sometime to respond, it is a slow process and it might take upto 6-8 weeks before to show its effect on the Acne.

    In later stages scarring can also appear on the face of the person if the acne is not treated properly at the right time. It is a moment of distress especially for the young people as it has an effect on their looks. Acne is the result of tiny holes on the surface of the skin which is called pores and they become clogged. There is no specified area where Acne appears, normally it appears on the face and shoulders but later on it can also appear on the trunk, arms, legs and buttocks as well.
