   The Douglas Aircraft Company was an American aerospace manufacturer, founded in Long Beach, California. It was based in 1921 by Donald and subsequent amalgamated with McDonnell Aircraft in 1967 to form McDonnell Douglas. Douglas Aircraft Company mostly functioned as a partition of McDonnell Douglas after the merger.
