circulated good condition Britannia 1797  minted SOHO on one side and King George portrait on the other "georgius III d g rex".  I don't know whether it is copper or not.  Measures 1.5" diameter (not quite as large as a "cartwheel penny"

    Hi,
It is a copper British 2 pence coin featuring King George III (1760-1820) and on the other side the allegorical figure of Britannia sitting on a rock with a trident and shield which symbolizes Britain's mastery of the seas and worldwide empire.
It may currently be worth about $10 with heavy wear to around $30 with moderate wear to maybe $150 with light wear depending on amount of collector demand.
You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
