Apart from just damaging the Nuclear Plant in Japan, the earthquake is feared to have eaten about 10,000 lives. Besides, as the villages have been demolished, about 1.4 million people have been trapped up in the running water and only around 500,000 have managed it to the shelters. In circumstances if the Nuclear Plant gets destroyed, this may not only result in loss of more lives but will also hinder the rescue operations a great deal. The foreign rescue teams may find it virtually impossible to get into radiations effected area. On the other hand, the neighbouring countries or other adjacent areas can well and truly become the victims of this disaster.

Japan has to deal with the nuclear threats there are now reports that there is a fire in reactor Number 4 at the Fukushima reactor.

There has been another explosion at the Fukushima reactor. Japanese NHK television reports that the Number 2 reactor has exploded, releasing radiation 10,000 above normal levels. A meltdown due to earthquake refers to a very serious collapse of a power plant's systems and its ability to manage temperatures. A complete meltdown would release uranium and dangerous byproducts into the environment that can pose serious risk.
