I have been posted to India for a ten year contract with a multinational company, where I have hired a house on rent. As this country has intense summer season, I have chosen to live under basement during hot season, but whenever it rains or even the weather is dry and hot, I use to witness mold behind the wall, which is invincible for me at least. Whenever it rains in the area, the water seeps through this mold, which is destroying my residential basement with moisture and fungus. I need help in this matter. I was wondering if anybody could help me get through this problem, as it is getting more than worse these days and I have no other option than living in the basement. Thanks for your kind help in advance!

Well, it is one of the major and growing problems in these areas. You should refer to one of the following ways in order to get through this problem:

    a. Keep the level of moisture down at your residence or basement. You can manage it by simply investigating for leaks. Inspect your basement waterproofing for impairment along with the loft. If there is moisture, work it out and halt it.

    b. Gauge the level of moisture at your basement and then buy and use a humidifier, which will bring dryness in the air to eliminate surplus moisture.

    c. Have plentiful ventilation all through your basement. Add ceiling and ventilation followers in washrooms and food-ground-work areas and attics.

Hopefully, these techniques will help you get rid of mold in your basement and you will be ale to live happily in your basement. Good luck!
