    Dodge is a very popular American company of automobiles, sport utility vehicles, and minivans, marketed and by manufactured Chrysler Group LLC in more than 62 countries of the world.

    In 1900, it was founded as the Dodge Brothers Company to provide parts and assemblies for rising auto industry of Detroit. Dodge started making its own automobile vehicles in 1914. Chrysler Corporation acquired it in 1928. Further, it got the short-lived DaimlerChrysler merger in 1998 that lasted till 2007 as being part of the Chrysler Group, which was owned by a private equity investment firm known as Cerberus Capital Management. Now it is a part of the Chrysler Group LLC and has an coalition with Fiat. Fiat has plans to develop many Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and other present platforms and products into Fiat-Chrysler co-built automobile vehicles.

    With the passage of time, Dodge has earned a good reputation and is well-known for its various truck models and for cars. Dodge truck market is expanding with great pace as compared to other vehicle of this brand. In 2009, trucks were launched with new brand known as Ram. It was   named after the dodge most popular truck, the Dodge Ram. However, it should be found that even though the Ram motor trucks are traded singly from Dodge motor vehicles, Ram President Fred Diaz has said that "Ram motor trucks will perpetually and evermore be Dodges. Ram will use symbol Dodge inside and outside and it will be remained the part of Dodge.
