Where does the story of the tooth fairy come from?
Tags: fairy, Story, tooth
The story of the tooth fairy comes from Europe, particularly in the north of the continent. It was tradition in Europe to bury baby teeth that fell out. When the sixth such tooth fell out, the parents would leave a gift or payment under that child’s pillow as a gift from a fantasy figure known as the tooth fairy. In northern European tradition, it is common for a tooth fee to be paid when a child loses their first tooth dating from the earliest written records of Norse traditions.
