Which time zone does India fall in?

My wife is going to India, I need to know about the time zone India falls in. So I can keep in touch with her. Can someone tell me about it.

    Indian Standard Time which is observed in India and Sri lank, which has a time offset of UTC +5:30(Coordinated Universal Time). India does not observe daylight saving time (DST) or other seasonal adjustments, although DST was used briefly during the Sino–Indian War of 1962 and the Indo–Pakistani Wars of 1965 and 1971.
