    Queen Noor born as Elizabeth (Lisa) Najeeb Halaby on August 23,1951 stands to be the last wife and widow of King Hussein of Jordan.

    American by birth and of Syrian,British and Swedish descent, she acquired Jordanian citizenship and renounced her American citizenship at the time of her marriage. Currently she is working as the president of the United World Colleges movement and also as an advocate of the anti-nuclear weapon proliferation campaign,Global Zero.
