    I don't know about actual former U.S. presidents who were mebers of their pep squads, but an almost U.S. president definitely was. Pep squads are school teams responsible for raising school spirit. Besides pep rallies, which are large gatherings to cheer and celebrate school teams and accomplishments, pep squads hand out literature, put up posters and lead cheers at games.

   
   

   Mitt Romney was a member of his school pep team at Cranbrook School, a prepratory school young Romney attended.
