   Opinions will vary and greatness gets lost as time passes, but the greatest stand up comedian of all time is either George Carlin or my choice, Richard Pryor. Both these men sat at the top of the game for ages and influenced almost every significant stand up comic that came after them. Both of them were able to take real life and all its quirks and make hilarious dialogue out of it. I think Pryor was more varied and talented (acting et cetera), but either one is an excellent pick.
