   Wayne Rooney currently tops the goalscoring charts in European World Cup qualifying, having hit eight goals in England's seven matches. Rooney is just ahead of Spain's David Villa and Bosnia-Herzegovina's Edin Dzeko, who each have seven goals, while Polish forward Ebi Smolarek and Belgium's Wesley Sonck both have six.
