Who will have your back during the hardship of life

Who will have your back during the hardship of life?  I am trying to do some research on who actually helps you get over difficult time in life.  I would love to get other people's input also. Please feel free to add to this list but here is the initial list:

1. Family
2. Friends
3. Co-workers
4. lose connections
5. Total Strangers

These are just 5 categories but i'm sure each can have a sub category of its own. For example who will help you from your family:

1. Mother
2. Father
3. Brother
4. Sister
5. Wife or husband

Would love to find out who really is the person who others can count on when life throws you a lemon or whole bunch of lemons.
