Why can't I change the view when on Component input.

I have my 40" LCD tv hooked up to the cable box right now through the component cables. It's stuck on WIDE view - default - and when I hit the ZOOM button nothing happens, it stays on wide.

However, when I go to the TV input, I can change the view - so it's not a remote problem.
