Why did David Letterman ban Spring Breakers' director Harmony Korine from his show since the 90's?

    According to Letterman, who was recently asked the question by Korine's friend James Franco, Korine has been banned for years due to a backstage incident. Letterman said that the last time the young director was on the show a fellow guest was Meryl Streep. When Letterman went backstage to greet Streep he found Korine in her dressing room alone sifting through the multi-award winning actress' handbag. Korine has a history of drugs and since that incident has been banned from Letterman's show.
