   Hi,
   shedding the lining of their uterus. If you don't shed the lining, it builds up and can cause uteran cancer (im not sure if i spelled "uteran" right but it's cancer of the uterus). Som people don't have periods bc of PCOS or other problems, and need to take medication so that they can lower their chances of cancer and other side effects. When you are pregnant, the egg has to have something to attach to and your body allows your uteran walls to keep the lining, becoming a relatively thick layer.
