   Ramaswamy Venkataraman was an Indian advocate, Indian unaligned activist and elected envoy who performed as a Union minister and as the eighth President of India. He was born on 4 December 1910 in Rajamadam settlement inTanjore local area, Madras Presidency. He learnt justice and rehearsed in the Madras High Court and the Supreme Court of India. In his youthful age, he was an activist of the Indian unaligned movement and joined in the Quit India Movement. He was selected component of the Constituent Assembly and the provisional cabinet. He was selected in a survey to Lok Sabha four times and performed as Union Finance Minister and Defence Minister. In 1984, he was selected in asurvey the seventh Vice-President of India and in 1987, he became the 8th President of India and performed from 1987 to 1992. He in addition performed as a State minister under K. Kamaraj and M. Bhaktavatsalam. Venkataraman deceasedat the Army Research and Referral Hospital, New Delhi on 27 January 2009, due to multiple instrument nonachievementat the age of 98. He was rewarded The Tamra Patra for participation in the unrestrained strive, the Soviet Land Prize for his travelogue on K. Kamaraj's visit to the Socialist countries.
