They’re through to the semifinals at the US Open. Can Venus and Serena Williams win their third Grand Slam doubles title for the year at Flushing?

    The Williams sisters have won two out of the past three Grand Slam doubles titles, only missing out at the French Open in 2009. At the semifinal stage of the US Open doubles, the American fourth seeds are set to face the 13th seeded doubles pair, but should they get through that they will be facing either the top seeded pairing of Cara Black and Liezel Huber, or third seeds Samantha Stosur and Renae Stubbs. The Williams sisters beat the Stubbs/Stosur pairing in the Wimbledon final and there is no reason that if the match up arose again in the US Open final they couldn’t do the same again.
