Would Abraham Lincoln be as effective a leader if he were to live in this day and age?

   I think that the values that Honest Abe stood for and the type of work ethic and human spirit he possessed would have made him a leader of men and historical figure regardless of when he was born. That being said, people become who they are because of their life experiences. I think that Lincoln had the type of resolve and nature to push to abolish slavery as he saw it as a cause worth fighting for on various levels. Perhaps we should just be glad he was born at the time he was. Otherwise, we could be living in a very different North America.
