    The once mighty Australians, who use to dominate every cricket pitch in the world, are not enjoying the same status as they were titled to be. Their miserable defeat in the match with Pakistan on Saturday led them fall back in the cricket scene as their winning streak in the World Cups was finally broken.
   
   The only chance Australia has to retain its title in the world cup is by winning its upcoming match with India.

   Without some big names in the Australian side, who have been punctuating the Australian wins in the past three world cups, Australian defence for the Word Cup 2011 is bit of a question mark. Besides, their captain's ordinary run with the bat has also raised a lot of questions on their chances of winning the world cup. Their biggest threat to the other sides being the long winning streak of 34 consecutive wins in world cup games which has been broken in their last game against Pakistan.     All the big names are not only factor in winning the cup and the same thing has been proven in this world cup. Australia was playing with the best team ever under Ricky Pointing and not only there winning streak has been ended but also in their next match against India they were thrown out from the world cup. And they failed to defend their title. 

   
   

   In the past world cup's Australia was the only team which were playing more with their minds and that was the key element in winning the game. Now all the teams adopted the same way to work things out and this make Australia to be thrown out from the world cup. And it was very necessary for them to loose these matches in the world cup because they are at the top most level for past many years.
