South African cricket must have had a shock of their life after losing world cup 2011 quarter final against New Zealand but would it be good if their Captain Graham Smith announces retirement in this situation?

    This will be rather destructive for South African cricket if their captain Grame Smith announces retirement at this stage. Pakistan cricket went through the same situation after losing to Australia back in Reliance World Cup 1987, despite being favourites to win the semi final at Lahore. The captain Imran Khan also announced his retirement but it took him a few months to re-consider his decision and went on to win the world cup for Pakistan in 1992. So Grame Smith should learn a lesson from Imran Khan before making retirement decision.
