Zenith VSC442 vcr picture but no sound

Had the above vcr for just a year, hooked up to cable/tv, one day the sound started have static noise coming through, drowing out the audio on the tv channel.   Dish satellite tech, came out and checked the receiver, and that is working fine, so problem is with the vcr.

Picture plays fine but no sound.  Ran pre-recorded tapes through it, again, picture but no sound.

    There is dust in the ACE head or ACE head damaged.Clean the haed with soft cloth and try play pre recorded tape.
