    Hi There,
    The hole is known as a fistula and if it is oozing fluid and has a bad smell there is the possibility that there is a bacterial infection involved. A check with an ear-nose-throat (ENT) specialist is in order to determine the actual degree of infection and medications to clear it up. I also understand that it is possible to have the hole "patched" so to speak by either the ENT or a plastic surgeon.
