    Hi There,
"Laurie" and "Ado Annie" are two completely different voice types and personalities.  You cannot have one song that will demonstrate the vocal requirements of these separate characters.  "Laurie" is the standard Soprano virgin ingénue.  "Annie" has been around the block – more than once.  Since you identify yourself as an Alto, then "Ado Annie" is the role for you.

    Consider:
Always True To You In My Fashion, composed by Cole Porter, from 'Kiss Me, Kate'
Doin' What Comes Natur'lly, composed by Irving Berlin, from 'Annie Get Your Gun'.
I Got The Sun In The Morning, composed by Irving Berlin, from 'Annie Get Your Gun'.
Honey Bun, by Rodgers & Hammerstein, from 'South Pacific'.
Take Back Your Mink, composed by Frank Loesser, from 'Guys And Dolls'.

Whatever you choose, sing the song like "Annie” would sing it, i.e., complete with accent and humorous innuendo.
