I have a 92 seville sts and all of a sudden it started ---tach jumping up and down, gas guage doing the same thing, dash lites flashing and the engine idle was surging, along with the a/c clutch constantly engaging, otherwise running ok. I removed the fuse as to not ruin the compressor, and another fuse to stop the idle from jumping. The inside dash still does the same thing--Guy I gave it to (4 weeks now) say's it's the body control module and that that part was only availble in 92 and not made anymore and he's trying to find a used one. Could this be true or am I getting the shaft

i would suggest that you get a second opinion on your cars situation. coz its very hard to judge by the given condition what exactly is the problem. lets say another person will have a different or similar opinion and it would become easier for you to make decision
