can some one help me with the name of a film?

the plot was this.  a gang of robbers pulled a bank heist. but all did not go to plan. they ended up in the outback and came across a homestead. the homesteader had an army armoured car. the type that had 6 wheels. the robbers hijacked the car and the homesteader and then travelled through the outback. that is all i can remember. it was, i believe a long film maybe 2-3 hours long.
