    Hi,
    I explain it with by solving a simple question :
    PT=20, QS=6, and PQ=QR=RS find the lenght?
    [P]---[Q]---[R]---[S]-------[T]

    We are told that: PQ = QR = RS.

    Since QS = 6, we conclude that:  QR = 3  and  RS = 3.

       Since PQ = QR, then PQ = 3.

    This leaves:  20 - 3 - 3 - 3  =  11 for ST.
    Thanks

    GIVEN: point L is between KM
        KL=1/2KM
    PROVE: L is a midpoint of KM

    STATEMENT:                                  REASON:

    1.point L is def. KM                      given
    2.KL+LM=KM                                between

    explaine the statement and there reasoning?
