My Chihuahua puppy is 10 days old. Giving her esbilac milk for about a week now but still don't gain weight. Her littermates 3 of them, already died because of diahrea. She looks strong but not confident enough because she is not gaining enough weight as I expect her to be.

    Hi Dear,
    Repeated loose stools will cause dehydration and blood and mucous in the stool is the intestinal walls sloughing with the strain of constant defecating.  I would take him to the Vet for fluid replacement and they can use a fecal loop to obtain a sample for evaluaion.  I would do this as soon as possible.  Medications to slow the diahrrea and treat the cause are available.  Dehydration is serious.

    Be sure not to feed him any fatty foods, barbequed or smoked meats, or sweets.  I would get some Pedialyte and give it to him as much as he will drink.
