   Hi,
   Putty is not an Oracle delivered product. It is often used to setup a secure connection (i.e. telnet, ftp) to a remote server. So the problem that you seem to be having appears to be a network issue rather than an Oracle issue. You need to be able to connect to the remote server (providing your userid and password) before you can access files on that remote server.
