goldstar vcr gvr - d645 won't turn on.

I have tried using my vcr with my newer tv. The front display and the power button flash on and off. But, the vcr will not turn completely on. I have pressed every button on the vcr and remote, but nothing has worked. Any help would be appreciated.

    Check for wornout belt.If it is OK. Your set is turned on for dew sensor.Keep the set with power supply for one hour till the power LED blinking goes off. You will be able switch on the VCR.
