   Starting a restaurant normally costs lot more than 10k but it does depend on what kind of restaurant you want to start.  here are some ways to reduce costs:
   
   1. equipments should be puruchased from used equipment dealer or better yet from someone who is going out of business. normally when business is about to shut they will let go of equipment at almost nothing.
   
   2. if you find a restaurant that is going out of business you can make they an offer they cannot refuse. for example you can tell them to sell it to you for monthly payments. since they were about to shut it down anyways; any offer would be a good offer. you can take over with almost nothing and then build it towards profitability.  
   
   3. you can start a takeout stand; just like a hot dog stand.
