   Hi,
   Well I'm assuming you're asking from a child's point of view? OK, so firstly how to demonstrate you value an adults view/opinion - I guess the simplest way is to listen to and take on board whatever their point of view may be; asking relevant questions as you go. This doesn't mean you have to agree of course! In fact if you have a difference of opinion then voice it, but constructively. Debate is invaluable in good 2 way communication!
   
   In relationship building, understanding adults is as important as understanding the views and opinions of any other group in society. People will form stronger links with those who they feel respect and understand what it is they believe in; whether that is a religious belief; a political view or even an opinion on a particular person.
   
   To summarise......listen, ask questions, offer an alternative point of view if you have one, and if you have to agree to disagree on certain points then that's no bad thing!
