   India is one of the beautiful countries present in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country in term of  geographical area, and ranked as the second-most populous country with over 1.2 billion people, and the most populous democracy globally. Surrounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the southwest, and the Bay of Bengal on the southeast, it  has the joint land borders with Pakistan to the west; Bhutan, the People's Republic of China and Nepal to the northeast; and Bangladesh and Burma to the east.
   
   This country is considered as the home to the ancient Indus Valley Civilization and a part of historic trade routes and large empires, the Indian subcontinent was recognized  with its commercial and cultural wealth for much of its long history. The country has 4 major religions of the world which are Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism. Although Zoroastrianism, Christianity and Islam arrived in the first millennium CE and  made the region's diverse culture.
   
   Simultaneously annexed by the British East India Company from the early 18th century and colonized by the United Kingdom from the mid-19th century, in 1947 India became an independent nation.  But for their freedom they put great struggle f which was marked by non-violent resistance and led by Mahatma Gandhi. The economy of the India is one of the strong economy of the world and in nominal term it is world's tenth largest economy.
