So, I just uploaded my video clips from my camera to my computer.I have an iMac, and my camera is a Kodak playsport,I want to edit the clips, but they won't open in iMovie. How do I fix that? I think I have to change the file type, but I don't know what it should be.

well..u should make clear the kodak playsport video file type...it records as hd mov format..
u can try to use the all-in-one solution...it can convert kodak mov viedos to mpeg-4 that imovie happy to edit...keeping original quality..
also it can do some simple editing...clipping/joining/merging....solve ur problem with a few mouse clicking...

    Set an output format:
Choose 'MPEG-4' for iMovie 09, iMovie09 supports the most popular video formats like AVCHD and MPEG4, and even the new iFrame video format.
Choose 'MPEG-2' for iMovie08, iMovie08 works with many tapeless camcorders that record to flash memory, HDD,or DVD media.
    Choose 'DV' for iMovie HD.
