I don't know if my printer was hit by lighting or not.  It continues to have 4 blinking blue lights and won't turn off unless I unplug it. Is there a reset button or is it fried?

    Hi,
Although lexmark printers are great they can be quite annoying. I often have problems with my x1270 but most of the time these can be fixed by turning off the printer on the mains supply, leaving it for about 15secs and then turning the printer back on again.
A lot of the time a flashing status light either means that there is (or was) no paper in the printer, therefore you'll need to add some and press the paper feed button. Or the paper has jammed so you need to remove the blockage and reset the printer (turn it off and back on by the mains).
Most problems can also be solved by restarting your computer.
Please also have a look at the lexmark support page below.
    Good Luck
