    Hi,
    You have to unscrew the plate that is inside the tailgate and behind the broken handle. Inside the square box, you'll be able to stick your hand in there and move the latch by hand to the left. Its quite hard to move, but by applying pressure to the gate (like leaning on it) and then moving the latch to the left. You'll be able to bring the tailgate down, until you buy the part again and replace the broken handle.
