    Shear pin on the shaft of auger. Looks like a bolt. Shear pin is a couple bucks at dealer. Shear pin will be snapped in half, usually caused by overload or foreign debris. Line up holes to replace. ( engine off! ). Ariens has a online manual pdf that show pretty good drawing.
