problem with motorola H710 bluetooth. The receiver cannot hear the caller. NOT muted either.

   My Motorola h710 is fully charged.  When making OR receiving a call, I can hear the other party perfectly, but my voice is not heard.  How do I fix this?

   Sounds like one of the 2 wires that connect to the mike has broken....I have a 710 in front of me, I have just opened it up and found this to be the problem!!!

   I've had several Motorola H700 series Bluetooth headsets and they all failed the same way and they're all designed the same way with a fold out microphone. The failure occurs when inexplicably the person on the other end can't hear. The last one I had was a Motorola H710 Bluetooth. I was so discusted with the lack of support by Motorola I was determined to find out what the problem was and finally opened it up and found a broken microphone wire. Stands to reason. The wire is connected to the microphone through a hinge and that's the only part on the device that moves. It's an inherent design flaw. They're designed to break. I will never buy another Motorola Bluetooth.

   With the mic open and the earpiece facing up I pried the mic open at the hinge and literally found a broken wire inside the mic. The wire breaks from flexing at the hinge and looks like it can be spliced, soldered and repared. This does not excuse the poor quality of the wire used or the design. The casing of the bluetooth which is glued together has to be pried open in order to find the section of broken wire attached to the circuit board. This bluetooth has the same physical design as the rest of the Motorola H700 series and should affect H700 H710 H715 and H720 earpieces. They're all going to fail the same way. This looks like a class action lawsuit. Maybe that will get Motorola's attention.

   The on/off switch that activates the bluetooth when the mic is opened and the multifunction control button operate on capacitance. Once the bluetooth case is opened these switches won't work and the bluetooth won't turn on. The bluetooth can't be repaired.

   Same problem here, I will buy another brand and leave Motorola to there problems.
