what are these pains in my knees

im 12 and in both joints in my knees im  having pains in i cant get up without pain ive tryed heating pads and icy hot it didn't work tylenol didnt work either i told my parents and they think its growing pains and i am having trouble in sports because of this pain what is it and what can help it

    When did it start, and do you play a lot of sport?  I had this at one time when I was 13, and it turned out to be jarring from sport.  The solution is usually simple - don't play sport, or strap your knees if you have to play.  Nothing will really help this other than giving your body lots of rest and a chance to get itself better.
