   I think a fair comparison would be how long it takes in the U.S., where it is at minimum 7 years. This includes 3 years of undergraduate studies followed by 4 years of veterinary (graduate) school. An undergrad usually takes 4 years to complete as those who get in after 3 years are usually considered highly gifted.
